PROJECT OVERVIEW
Developer Belmont-Sayre redeveloped the Grey Hosiery Mill of Hendersonville, North Carolina with the help of Tise-Kiester Architects, contractor CT Wilson, numerous engineers and consultants, and local, state, and national preservation staffs. Ryan’s Historic Tax Credits team consulted on the rehabilitation’s more than $3 million generated in state and federal historic tax credits.
Historically a textile factory responsible for the employment of hundreds, the 48,000-square-foot building eventually became the city of Hendersonville’s only remaining early-twentieth-century industrial building. It now serves as a much-needed apartment complex with affordable and market-rate garden-style apartments.
